Tips for creating Content Marketing

The content is the main factor in any campaign of Digital Marketing . Social media channels turn on that content, helping us to disseminate it.

The  digital marketing agencies should place the content in the core of all its actions, since the content is what we find searching in Google , what we share in our  social networks , the channel through which brands connect with their consumers .. It is what ultimately attracts potential customers and sales.

In order to generate movement in the content that we are going to create and share on our networks, we must put together a strategy . To achieve this, we leave you some tips to manage and maximize the content on your social media channels.

1. Know your audience

If you don’t know who you’re talking to, how are you going to connect with them? Many brands fully understand their audience. They know age, gender, ethnicity, and income, but you need to go beyond these details to gain a better understanding of their interests, needs, and behaviors. Our mission is to create a strong connection and to be a helpless part of their lives.

Apart from the traditional methods to collect information about your audience, today we can use social networks,  which offer a detailed list of their interests, the products and services they consume, have, recommend and even dislike. (Tips: pay attention to the Insights of the Facebook Fan Pages , the network monitoring tools and references to your website)

2. Content with Value

Your content must have value for your audience. This content should not have a “marketing” language, even if that is the nature of the message. Remember that your mission is to maintain a long-term relationship, it is to obtain the brand awareness, it is to position yourself in the consumer’s mind to the point that when they have to make a decision, you are the first to appear in their head.

3. Expand your conversation

The consumer does not want to know only about you, they also want to know what else your brand can do for them.

To tackle the conversation, you must create pillars of content based on consumer needs and the voice, personality and goals of your business. These pillars will allow you to relate to the brand environment, your products / services, and also talk about the relevant aspects of consumer life.

4. Beyond Facebook and Twitter

You should draw attention to the content through alternative methods on various channels. Not only on Facebook and Twitter . Ask yourself:

How can I maximize the value of each publication and campaign?

How do I make the content of my website more visible and can they share it?

What social networks does my audience use apart from Facebook and Twitter ?

Am I using Google+ to share the content of my website? If you still do not share content on Google+ we recommend you do so urgently, since the impact on the organic ranking is more than interesting.

5. Know the Dimensions

People share content not only because they “look good”, they also do it because it makes them look good. If your content is pixelated, the image is cut or does not look good, it will not have the same impact. Stay tuned to the display of your content on different social networks and devices. Know the dimensions of each channel and the way in which your audience relates to the content.

6. Don’t ignore the impact of SEO

SEO and Social Media must go hand in hand, united in the same effort: Increase the visibility of content on all digital platforms.

Interactions on social networks not only impact the ranking of content, but also help increase traffic and generate links.

7. I Measured Success

Before creating a piece with content or campaigning, determine your goal and what metrics you will use to measure your performance.

The most important metrics are:

* Consciousness (Impressions – scope – mentions)

* Consumption (Clicks – visits – references)

* Interactions (Likes, shares, +1, time spent on the web)

* Actions – (Sales, web downloads, newsletter subscriptions, page navigation)

* Impact on SEO – (Increase in organic traffic and activity, increase in organic backlinks and interaction in specific pieces with content)

By knowing your audience and how to provide valuable content to them, identifying alternative channels, integrating SEO and creating a solid plan to measure success, you can ensure that the content has enough fuel to “set fire” to social networks and other marketing channels.
